THE GRAVITY COMPLEX® · DEVLOG
The concept becomes more concrete
Retrospective 04/12 · Revision · Summer to September 2025. A playable prototype became the focus of the next application. The devlog records a revision from 28 August to 18 September 2025.
EVENT 04 The new task |

Game capture from the archive folder dated 3 October 2025. Differently oriented surfaces show the spatial complexity of the rooms at that time.
- An example level would show how freely adjustable gravity could become a readable gameplay experience.
- One risk was already identified in the project description: when any surface can become the floor, it is easy to lose your bearings.
- Architecture, recognisable reference points, the camera and feedback from the space therefore had to be considered together.
CONTEXT What remained open |
- The concept still included additional narrative and presentation ideas. Not all of them later became part of the prototype.
- The immediate priority was being able to enter an unfamiliar space and understand its possible routes.
- The revision did not end with the application. Building and playing continued to test the assumptions, and some were replaced.
